What Does A MeriCrusher Do?

A MeriCrusher is very similar to a mulcher, it will chip up material above the ground, same as a mulcher will. They might not be quite as fast, however, the added advantage to a MeriCrusher is that it will mulch material in the ground as well. Depending on the type of MeriCrusher used, they will  mulch material up to 200mm below the surface and as a result destroy root systems, preventing unwanted plants from regrowing.

What is the difference between a MeriCrusher and a mulcher?

Mulchers will only ever attack the surface material, leaving everything that it mulchers on top of the ground. A MeriCrusher will mulch the surface material as well as the material in the ground, including the roots.

Neither of these methods are necessarily good or bad. It just depends on what you would like to achieve. Should you want to clear a block that’s full of tea tree, gorse, or a few half grown trees, and plant it down to grass, the MeriCrusher is the way to go as the machine will attack the roots and prevent the weeds that were on the block from coming back again. However, if you are wanting to clear the land so you can sell it or build on it, then a mulcher is a much faster way to proceed, while still meeting your expectations.
